HANDS ON ROCK

There are are number of Aboriginal heritage sites in the Mudgee region, and “Hands on Rock” is a great example of this. This historic site is located near Ulan and close to “The Drip”. The beautiful sandstone rock formations provide a stunning “canvas” for the stencilled hands and if you look closely there are emu tracks and even a goanna drawing.

In this photo I tried to capture the wave of colour in the sandstone overhang while also showcasing this amazing Aboriginal art.
